How to Color 2 Ways + Simple Masking

Artist Marker Toppers Decal Set

Before I get to the amazing new stamps and dies I must introduce a couple of new tools. I’m so excited to share the Artist Marker Toppers Decal Set!! Easily identify your markers by adding the color name to each end!

Altenew Artist Marker Toppers Decal Set

There are four decals for each marker, two with the color name and one each for the bullet nib and brush nib. You can configure these labels anyhow you like. Use all four labels or two or three.

The marker barrels are triangular. So, I found it helpful to add one label on the apex of the side of the barrel. This way when the marker lays flat, I can see the label as shown above.

How to Color | Simple Roses & Friends Forever

Florals, coffee, and cardmaking? Yes please! Simple masking turns this to-go coffee cup into a perfect vase.

How To Color 2 Ways + Simple Masking

Mask | Simple Roses Mask Stencil

First, I stamped the coffee cup image on a full-stick Post-It note to use as a place holder. This helped me determine the visually pleasing placement of the Simple Rose and leaves.

I used the Simple Roses Mask Stencil Set to mask off the rose and leaves prior to stamping the coffee cup. Make sure you offset the masks so it won’t leave a white space between the cup and the florals.

Stamp | Crisp Dye Ink

Rose | Blush
Leaves | Frayed Leaf
Coffee Cup | Silver Stone
Sentiment | Obsidian Pigment Ink

Birch Forest Bonus Card

This clean and simple card comes together quick and easy thanks to the Birch Forest Stamp Set.

Altenew Birch Forest Stamp Set

Stamp the full Birch Forest background stamp with Frayed Leaf Mixed Media (pigment ink). Mask an area for the sentiment on the top third of the card. I simply used washi tape.

Partially ink the stamp with Volcano Lake Crisp Dye ink and remove some of the ink with a microfiber cloth. Stamp over the washi tape mask.

Altenew Birch Forest Stamp Set

Remove the tape and stamp a sentiment from the Birch Forest Stamp Set with Obsidian Pigment Ink. Finish off the card with Sea Shore Enamel Dots.
