Today’s, 1 Stencil, 3 Cards, and No Ink Blending video is part of a video hop to celebrate my crafty friends, Ardyth, Kathya, and Jenny reaching 5K subscribers on YouTube! Congratulations ladies!
Ardyth, Kathya, and Jenny are co-hosting a YouTube hop full of fantastic cards and prizes. A link to the next participant is in the comments of my video below.
Experiment with stencils, Paper Glaze, alcohol inks, and watercolors with me in this short card making video tutorial. Watch here or in HD on YouTube. While you’re there I’d love it if you like, subscribe, and ring the bell.
Stencil, Paper Glaze, & Alcohol Ink
All three of my projects use Altenew Bursting Dahlia Stencil. The dahlia image is huge and creates a perfect focal point.
As per the Picket Fence Studios packaging, Paper Glaze can be used with alcohol inks. I had planned on painting this Paper Glaze dahlia, but I accidentally dropped a bottle of alcohol ink on the panel. So, I splashed on the color for an abstract look instead.
Altenew Artist Marker Refill
Rouge, Coral Berry, Buttercream, Warm Sunshine
Turns out this is my favorite card of the bunch! Just goes to show, mistakes aren’t errors but opportunities! Simon Says Stamp CZ Design Thanks Wafter Die finished off the card.
Stencil & Watercolor Brush Markers
While the Paper Glaze was drying, I started on this watercolor version using Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers.
I love the tie-dyed effect this created by blending Turquoise and Mountain Mist Watercolor Brush Markers. I taped my stencil to watercolor paper, but you use Pixie Spray if you want to retain cleaner lines between the petals.
Altenew Bold Greetings Die and Calming Aqua Nuvo Crystal Drops finished off the card.
Stencil & Alcohol Inks
Lastly, I splashed alcohol ink onto a stencil and Yupo paper to create two different panels. The second panel, used to make this card, is a print from the leftover ink on the stencil.

Simon Says Stamp CZ Design Happy Birthday Wafer Die finished off this card. I stacked 4 white die-cuts and topped it off with coral textured cardstock.
