It’s no secret I love floral stamps, so much so, that I see flowers in the most unlikely places. Today, I’m creating a three-layered flower with Altenew Mod Vases Stamp Set. Plus, a bonus card using Mod Vases in another unique way.
YouTube Tutorial | Altenew Mod Vases Two Ways
Stretch the use of Altenew Mod Vases by using it in two unique ways. Watch here or in HD on YouTube.
Flower Power
I see patterns and shapes in most things and Altenew Mod Vases was screaming flower petals.
In Zentangle®, a meta pattern is created when pen strokes repeatedly overlap. Here a small center flower develops as the vases overlap.
Once the stamping was complete, I outlined the petals, added a few orbs and lines, and colored the petals with Altenew Artist Markers. I used Rose Petal, Sea Shore, and Summer Afternoon color families from Sets B and D.
Bonus Bowties
As a bonus, we’ll create some bowties for the dads and dudes in your life.
This pattern is really simple. No need to measure or line it up with a grid mat. Load your vase stamp on an acrylic block and stamp it near the center.
Turn the stamp 180 degrees and stamp again overlapping the neck of the vases.
The neck of the vases will create a darker square, the knot of the bowtie. Continue the pattern in 1 or more colors. I used Dew Drops and Chamomile Crips Dye Inks. It’s as simple as that!
