Hey, guys! I’m pouring on all the sparkle today and sharing glitter embossing tips. These cards feature The Hedgehog Hollow January 2020 box and WOW! Embossing Powders.

Ok, so I may have over sparkled these cards. Feel free to tone down the amount of glitter added to your cards, but I couldn’t seem to control myself. Watch here or in HD on YouTube.
Moon Focal Piece
First, I started by silver embossing a few of the moon stamps on vellum to create a focal piece. I used the WOW! Embossing Pen to add a few accent areas with WOW! Midnight Dream and Clear Sparkle embossing powders.
Next, I fussy cut the images and started the background panel. To minimize the vellum warping, I preheat the WOW! Dual Speed Heat Tool on high and then dropped it down to the lower setting to heat emboss.
Working with WOW! glitter embossing powders, I’ve noticed they stick better to the WOW! embossing pad than my other 2 brands of embossing ink. I was amazed at how well they stuck to the pen.
Glitter Stripes Background Panel
Here’s where I went glitter overboard, LOL! Using 1/2 inch, 1/4 inch, and 1/8 inch Scor-Tape I created a full diagonal striped background panel. I glitter embossed the stripes with the same two embossing powders.
Scor-Tape is incredibly sticky and holds onto the glitter embossing powder like a vice-grip. It creates cleanly embossed stripes every time.
I trimmed the glitter striped panel down with a rectangle stacking die and popped up the vellum elements with foam squares. Lastly, I matted the card front with Curious Metallic Lustre cardstock and added sequins.
Use Your Leftovers
A striped frame was leftover from trimming down the glitter panel, so I created another card with the I Love You to the Moon and Back stamp.
This sentiment is beautiful and large enough to carry a card on its own. I heat embossed it with Midnight Dream and was impressed with how clean the details of the small words came out.
As if there wasn’t enough sparkle, I sprinkled on water and Clear Sparkle embossed the spatter. Lastly, I popped up the panel and frame and added sequins.
That’s all the sparkle I have for today! Let me know what you think down below and I’ll see you real soon with more inspiration.

I like the tip for using the tape to pick up the glitter. It’s neat that the cut scrap was useful in creating another card.
Thanks a bunch!
