Did you ever notice blueberries have a mottled app Did you ever notice blueberries have a mottled appearance? They have areas of bright blue, indigo, a chalky white hue, and sometimes a reddish purple. To achieve an effortless mottled appearance, try using granulating watercolors. Rough watercolor paper like this Saunders Waterford High White Rough encourages granulation allowing paint to settle and float in the nooks and crannies. It can be challenging to stamp on rough paper. Tips: use a stamp positioner and light ink for a no line watercolor technique. Light inks are more forgiving. Leave the stamp in the MISTI and stamp again after painting to reinforce details. I used a stamp block, so you can see some double lines.
