Floral Typography Twofer Card Designs
Floral typography is stunning. There’s so much you can do with digital graphic design and I wanted to give it a go with embossed flowers and alphabet dies. Get 2 cards from each die-cut embossed panel featuring The Hedgehog Hollow & Sophia Caldwell May 2019 box.
Did you hear? Sophia Caldwell stamps are back by popular demand in the July box. Also included in the July box are 4 WOW embossing powders that are exclusive to The Hedgehog Hollow!
Order the July 2019 box today before it sells out!! (Today’s stamps are from the MAY box which is sold out)
The Designs
These cards are inspired by the Sophia Caldwell postcard from the May 2019 box. I loved the idea of floral typography. I chose a different stamp for each twofer set.
The background patterns were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Altenew Antique Gold embossing powder. I die cut “hugs” from the Curious Metallic White Gold panel and “hi” from the Curious Metallic Rose Gold panel. Both cardstocks are from cutcardstock.com.
Card Assembly
Watch the video to see how I die cut sticky back fun foam to easily pop up the letters and embossed panels. A bonus card set with gold paper and navy embossing powder is also shared in the video.
Sub-sentiments were stamped in gold pigment ink to fill the white space and the cards were embellished with sequins.
I hope you enjoyed these projects and will give these techniques a try. I’d love to hear from you, so please let me know what you think in the comments below and on YouTube.
Thanks so much for joining me today and until next time, Breathe · Ink · Inspire.
WOW!! STUNNING cards. So chic and expensive looking. Love them!
Thanks, Jill!
OMG!! I purchased all these products and it is not even what I will get!! OMG!! you are working on May 2019 – and they don’t even have it!!!? I just watched that video again and you are talking about May!?? And then I have to write them emails. …and wait in suspense as they decide to answer me. Oh Lordy, why I did this I don’t even know.
Oh no, Denise! I’m so sorry for the confusion. The boxes sell out quickly, which is why I mentioned the July box in this post. I knew those that missed the June Sophia Caldwell box would want to snag the July box. You can definitely do these card designs with stamps from the July box and you’d have those amazing embossing powders too!
Unfortunately the response from HHH was unhelpful. To the extent I could, I cancelled the so-called subscription and “account” that I couldn’t find, or the log-in feature I couldn’t find ( do you know where the log-in feature is? cause I don’t!). Folks say things like everyone is familiar with their process and info. I didn’t even know I had an account, I never created an account but there it was my info at this site and all I wanted to do was purchase the items you were show casing. Once I figured-out that May was what you were using, not July – I tried many times in a panic to resolve the error – but communication is via email only and it was late. Then when I get a response – she doesn’t even address the main issue and says “You’re not eligible for an opt-out”!? What! I haven’t even started yet. So maybe you can explain – I want to purchase May – the items you were using! Then during the “Live” link-in you sent she says she has 16 May boxes – so I go to the site while she’s Live – nothing anywhere that I could find – this seemed like a bad joke. There wasn’t even 10 people at the Live event. So where they disappeared to is unknown. But truthfully she was aware this am that I wanted one and said nothing to me in her response. This is so crazy. Help!
Hi Denise,
Again I’m so very sorry for the confusion between the May and July boxes. I have passed the experience as you’ve described it over to The Hedgehog Hollow. The full release link I shared with you was “Live” on July 19th which was 6 days ago. So I would not be surprised of the 16 boxes you mentioned sold during that time.
If you could message me at amber@notableink.com, I’d be happy to send you my May box at no charge. The stamps have been used a few times of course, but they’re in great condition. Please let me know if you’re interested. I love your enthusiasm for cardmaking and appreciate your support!!
I hope to hear from you soon. Shoot me an email at amber@notableink.com
Thanks so much,
Amber
Hi Amber! Your cards are great! So much so, that I purchased the major products you used today. I’ve never purchased from Hedge Hog Hollow – so I’ll have to see how this all turns out. But thanks for sharing your cards, you’re such an inspiration! Denise
