WOW! Embossed Freestyle Heart
Regular subscribers received a WOW! Embossing Freestyle Tool in The Hedgehog Hollow July 2019 subscription box. I’m a huge fan of it paired with Black & Gold embossing powder included in the box!

Originally, I thought I didn’t want a traditional pink or red heart, so I chose an A2 sized piece of Curious Metallic Aloe cardstock from CutCardStock.com for my project. By the end, you won’t see a trace of this mint paper, and it’s only worth mentioning as it changes the hue of the Copic markers.
Using the WOW! Freestyle Tool I drew a heart on the Aloe cardstock. The extra gloops of embossing ink were happy accidents! Then I sprinkled on the exclusive WOW + The Hedgehog Hollow Black & Gold embossing powder.
This powder is amazing!! It’s super chunky and the ratio of black to gold is just right! I applied heat from underneath the cardstock to prevent the powder from blowing away.
Once I decided I wanted a pink heart, I colored the heart with Copic markers R21, R22, R24. I colored the edges of another piece of Aloe paper with an ombre effect to match the heart and used this as a mat.
Next, I fussy cut the heart and ran a black marker around the cut edge. I popped this up on black cardstock and gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Oval Sentiments Stamp Set.
