Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Morning Glory Blog Hop

Welcome to the Altenew Craft-A-Flower Morning Glory blog hop + giveaway.

Altenew Craft-A-Flower Morning Glory

If you made you’re way here from my friend, Seeka‘s blog you’re right on track. To start at the beginning of the hop, visit the Altenew Card Blog.

Altenew Craft-A-Flower Morining Glory

Similar to Altenew’s most recent Craft-A-Flower dies, Morning Glory, groups layers so that you only need pass each color of cardstock through the die cutting machine once. I love this new design!

Morning Glory & Pattern Paper

So far my theme for 2021 is to keep it simple. So rather than watercolor Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Morning Glory layers, I opted to cut them from Verdant Walk Pattern Paper.

To be honest, as I put the layers together, I definitely second-guessed my choice. But, a high contrast Gradient Lines Washi Tape background helped pull the design together.

For the best look, choose papers with contrasting colors. Here, the fine black lines on the white pattern paper separate the layers from the background.

Pop up some of the flower layers with foam squares to cast shadows and increase definition between each layer.

Altenew Sea Shore Enamel Dots

To finish the card, I added a white Signature Words die-cut sentiment and Sea Shore Enamel Dots.

Sorry, there’s no video today. I started to film this and it felt like a glue advertisement. So I stopped and opted for nice photos instead. I hope you feel inspired to make something pretty with your dies and pattern paper.

Striking Stripes

I can’t get enough of high-contrast stripes. Do you need more inspiration on how to use them?

Check out this post for Altenew’s 6th Anniversary.
