Altenew May 2020 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release + Hop

Inked Lotus Stamp Set
Are you familiar with Altenew’s Inked stamp line, it’s one of my favorites? Included in the Inked family is Inked Flora, Inked Rose, Inked Bud, and now Inked Lotus Stamp Set.
I adore the hand drawn illustrated style of this stamp and wanted it to stand on it’s own without any coloring. Now you know I love to color, but this card enticed me to create 3 more designs without coloring.
As you can see I stamped Inked Lotus on vellum and adhered it to a die-cut piece of Celestial Paper Pack.
Vellum Tip
Cut a panel smaller than your vellum die-cut. Adhere the vellum directly to the panel and pop up the panel. This adds dimension to the vellum die-cut without having to hide foam tape under the vellum.
Flowering Cistus & Mask/Stencil Bundle
Before I was comfortable coloring, I relied on layering sets like Flowering Cistus Stamp Set to add brilliant flowers to my cards with ease.
Now, Altenew has made layer stamping even more convenient with coordinating Mask Stencil Sets. So go ahead, skip the coloring and get your stamp layering on!
This card was meant to be a clean and simple one layer design, but the placement was weird. So, I fussy cut the elements and created a graphic layered design instead.
Hold the phone! Who’s in love with the new Mega Brush Alpha Stamp Set? Are those letters awesome or what?!? And “hey” they were really easy to fussy cut.
The whimsical black and white dotty paper is from Verdant Walk Paper Pack. Stamp the flowers with the following inks: Sweet Dreams family, Olive, Moss, Sunray, Snapdragon, Frayed Leaf and Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Mega Brush Alpha Stamp Set
Say, hello to Mega Brush Alpha Stamp Set. Folks, this one will sell out fast so get it while you can! The brush letters connect easily with acrylic blocks or stamp positioners to create eye-catching sentiments.
Create this graphic card in minutes. Stack and adhere one Fuchsia Soiree Paper Pack and two black Floral Heart Frame die-cuts. Add a sub-sentiment from Perfectly Perfect Stamp Set and a small heart from Envelope Liner Die Set and you’re done!
Delicate Bouquet Stamp Set
Delicate Bouquet Stamp Set is ideal for coloring and equally beautiful embossed on pattern paper. However, don’t worry I will definitely share a colored version of this charming floral arrangement in the future.
Don’t you love the watercolor wash papers from Fuchsia Soiree Paper Pack?! Heat emboss Delicate Bouquet Stamp Set on a piece and you have a classy card in minutes.
My stamp moved adding to the sketchy feel of the illustration. Add Satin White Sequins to finish off the card.
Creative Challenge

Because here’s the thing, cards don’t have to be complicated and take an hour to make to be striking and eye-catching.

I like the idea to pop up the vellum. Favorite is the dotted hey. I like how that turned out after the adjustments.
These are all fantastic. I think my favorite is the galaxy lotus, because, well, it’s a galaxy lotus! Who wouldn’t love that? But really, the colors, the vellum, it’s just perfect.

The coloring of a lovely image can make me change my mind because i need a card NOW and if i dont take time and care, I’ll mess up that beautiful image. You’ve solved my problem!! I especially love the last card on the “shades of red” paper with the white embossing. Very striking!
