CAS Vintage Christmas Cards

Sometimes you need a Christmas card design that you can quickly mass-produce. These CAS Vintage Christmas cards featuring gorgeous metallic cardstock are perfect for multiples.

Speciality Cardstock

The key to a simple design that boasts a luxurious feel is to start by choosing quality cardstock. For the card fronts, I chose Curious Metallic Botanic, Curious Metallic Cryogen White, and Stardream Metallic Mars. For the mat, I chose Savannah Woodgrain Cardstock.

If Curious Metallic Botanic is sold out, try Stardream Metallic Fairway or Curious Metallic Abyss as alternatives.

Background Stamp

A festive background stamp is all you need to add texture to these beautiful cardstocks. Alternatively, use a cover die or stencil. I chose The Stamp Market Jumbo Plaid Background Stamp to embellish these lovely papers.

The Stamp Market

To create multiple cards with ease, load the background stamp in your stamp positioner and stamp as many cards as you need. Stamping in gold pigment ink adds additional luster and brilliance.

Sentiments

I wanted to gold heat emboss but suspected it would be less legible on the gold backgrounds. Therefore, I heat embossed a variety of sentiments with red and white embossing powder.

Finishing Touches

I trimmed the card fronts down and popped them up on A2 sized pieces of Savanna Limba Woodgrain cardstock. The detail of the woodgrain is perfect, enough to be noticed and appreciated, but doesn’t distract from the focal points of your cards.

Lastly, I added gold confetti and called these cards done.
