Sentiment Accents – Stamptember 2018
I’m continuing to work through the Spiritual Sentiments Stamp Set released by Simon Says Stamp exclusively for STAMPtember. This set has so many encouraging messages that you’ll love!

I loved the message & narrow, vertical orientation of this sentiment. So, I wanted to accent it with some hand-drawn stripes. Let’s get started.
I inked up the sentiment with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. Once the sentiment was stamped I started drawing stripes with a t-square ruler and Sakura Pigma Micron 01 pen. I masked the stripes and stamped 3 monstera leaves from Simon Say Stamp Tropical Leaves Stamp Set.
I added black splatter with Altenew Jet Black Ink Spray and flat clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for accent. After embellishing I still felt the card was flat, so I decided to add drop shadows to the stripes and leaves with W1, W3, W5, W7, & 0 markers.

At first, I wasn’t sure if I had gone too far with the Copic shading, but I think it turned out to be just enough. I love the graphic feel to this card while still staying Clean & Simple.
