All About Layering 1

I’m thrilled to be participating in the Altenew Educator Certification Program!! This is my first submission after completing All About Layering 1 & 2 hosted by Nicole Picadura.

Altenew Painted Flowers Circle Shaped Card

This card uses the Painted Flowers stamps and die set by Altenew. This is a beautiful set with a watercolor feel. It’s perfect for anyone new to layering stamps as it’s very forgiving.

The flowers are smaller in scale so I opted for a 4 inch round card to keep the layout intimate. Two stacking stitched dies were used to create the black frame which adds a pop of drama and structure for the flowers.

I’m waiting for my Altenew inks to arrive in the mail, so I used a mix of Tsukineko Memento Dew Drop and Simon Says Stamp hybrid inks.

Flowers were stamped with Lulu Lavender Dew Drop and Hot Mama SSS hybrid ink cube. Leaves are a mix of New Sprout Dew Drop and 2nd generation stamping of Bamboo Leaves Dew Drop.

The card was embellished with Hero Arts pearls and clear ZIG Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Marker. The sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s Floral Bliss set is stamped in black and clear heat embossed.
