STAMPtember Partial Stamping & Watercolor Blowout
Sunflower Background STAMPtember Exclusive
Sunflowers may be one of the most cheerful flowers! Though they’re traditionally a warm sunshine yellow color, I’ve switched things up to add a rainbow of colors.
All the details to create this STAMPtember partial stamping & watercolor blowout with Sunflower Background stamp are in this short cardmaking video tutorial. Watch here or in HD on YouTube. While you’re there I’d love it if you like, subscribe, and share it with your crafty friends!
Start by partial stamping the Sunflower Background with blue pigment ink on watercolor paper. If you’re impatient like me, heat emboss in lieu of waiting for the ink to dry. Here I used, WOW! Clear Matt Dull embossing powder as I didn’t want a glossy finish.
Next, I spritzed the front and back of the watercolor panel to temporarily adhere it to my glass mat and keep it flat during painting. This works great when you want to paint all the way to the edges.
Recently, I invested in a selection of Daniel Smith Fine Watercolors. I opted for a Pocket Palette with 28 Mini Pans from Art Toolkit. This allows me to keep my small glass mat uncluttered and show the whole palette in my videos. Plus, it’s amazing for travel and on-the-go painting. Love it!

Beautiful Butterflies
To finish off the card, I used previously released Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set for the sentiments and a single butterfly.
These gorgeous sentiments fit right into the partially stamped area. It’s always rewarding when the idea you have in your head comes through on the page!
