Altenew Inky Bouquet Stamp Set

Sometimes a simple scrap of watercolor paper can inspire your design. I have loads of watercolor paper scraps and I’ve been trying to use them up. This one looked like it’d be perfect for the size of the Inky Bouquet. Alas, it was slightly too small, but I think that added some interest to this design.

Altenew Inky Bouquet

I stamped this image twice, once on the Neenah Classic Crest card panel and once on the square watercolor scrap. Next, it was just a matter of adding loose watercolor to the design. Here I used my favorite Altenew palette the Artist 24 Pan Watercolor Set.

Altenew Inky Bouquet Stamp Set

Pop up the Inky Bouquet with Instant Dimension Foam Tape and be sure to line up the images. Stamp a sentiment and you’re all set. No splatter on this one, wait what’s happening? Nothing earth-shattering, I just really liked all that white space.

Altenew Polka Dot Buds Layering Stencil Set

The Polka Dot Buds Layering Stencil is not my typical style, but I was quite drawn to it and thought it might look pretty with some tangling. While I didn’t tangle this card, I have it on the list to do in a future video.

The background is busy, so I kept the sentiment clean and simple with Caps Bold Alphabet Dies and part of a sentiment from Inky Bouquet. The extra bit of white cardstock helps to break up the background pattern. Add sticky back fun foam to the back of the ink blended cardstock prior to die-cutting for a no-fuss clean look.

New Technique Alert

Did you miss my last Altenew video. In this Color Connection episode, I explore embossed paper piecing or embossed collage. I’ve used book paper, but you could easily use any thin paper such as tissue paper, brayered off deli paper, magazines, etc.
