Zentangle for Card Makers

Blending Zentangle with card making is the bomb! Add Copic coloring and it’s a trifecta of bliss! Have you tried it? What are you waiting for?

This panel was super easy to tangle. I started by stamping the full background stamp on a half sheet of Neenah with alcohol marker safe ink. Stamp the full image and create two cards. Bonus!

Next, I added Zentangle pen strokes. Though these aren’t patterns per se, they are elements that build tons of different patterns.

Copic Marker Colors

This is my all-time favorite holiday color palette. Enjoy! I tangled and added solid black contrast with a Sakura Micron 01 pen.

I trimmed the first panel down to 4 x 5.25 and was left with the strip above which was perfect for a twofer card!

Rainbow Twofer Card Design

I stamped the image again with a rainbow of dye inks intending to Copic color the whole image. However, after finishing the first panel I thought, yeah, maybe not today!

Instead, I die-cut the panel to 4 x 5.25 inches and then trimmed the leftover piece into 5 quarter-inch strips.

I popped up the panel on fun foam and used Darice Foam Strips for the strips. I love Darice Strips they’re the perfect width for narrow pieces!

Lastly, I added some black and white die-cuts and Nuvo Drops and called it done! The SSS Big You die I used was discontinued, therefore I linked an alternative below.
