Heat embossed die cuts take center stage with these two clean and simple handmade card designs. Watch here or in HD on YouTube.
Intricate Die-Cuts
The WOW! Mixed Media Embossing Brush is the perfect tool to emboss part of an intricate die-cut. For this card, I only wanted to heat emboss the flowers.

Ordinarily, I would press the die-cut onto an embossing pad. In this case, I couldn’t easily avoid inking up the leaves without masking them. The embossing brush allows you to precisely add gel where you need it.

I inked up the flowers and heat embossed with WOW! Turkish Nights embossing powder. This powder is stunning with flecks of gold, rose gold, and purple glitter. Gorgeous color and shine!

I heat embossed the sentiment with Turkish Nights as well. I’m always impressed with how cleanly WOW! glitter embossing powders emboss sentiment stamps.
Sentiment Die-Cuts
We’ve probably all heat embossed our fair share of sentiment die-cuts by pressing the piece into the ink pad or rubbing the ink pad on top of the die-cut. Try the Mixed Media Embossing Brush next time and keep your fingers nice and clean.

Simply paint on the embossing gel with the brush and heat emboss as usual. I ink blended the background with Altenew Mountain Mist Crisp Dye Ink and Heffy Doodle Dotty Lottie Stencil.

Turkish Nights is so gorgeous and it turns out it coordinates beautifully with Nuvo Champagne Shine sequins from my stash.
