Coffee Cup Rings Stencil + Crusty Copper EP

Chase away your moody blues with coffee and friends! Here I used StencilGirl Coffee Cup Rings Stencil and WOW! Crusty Copper embossing powder from the Seth Apter Metalz Trio.

Coffee Stencil 2 Unique Ways

Temporarily adhere the stencil to a 4.25 x 5.5-inch piece of watercolor paper. Here I used my favorite paper, Saunders Waterford High White Cold Press. Simply press the WOW! Embossing Pad onto the stencil to ink up the paper.

WOW! Seth Apter Crusty Copper EP from Metalz Trio

Next, heat emboss with Crusty Copper embossing powder from the Metalz Trio. This powder is rich with texture and metallic copper shine.

Next up, is ink smooshing and watercolor to liven up the background. Create coffee spills by ink smooshing with Daniel Smith Naples Yellow and Burnt Umber. Use a wet on wet technique to watercolor the background with Daniel Smith Indigo.

Finally, embellish with Pretty Pink Posh Winter Days Confetti and Simon Says Stamp + CZ Design MISS YOU Reverse Sentiment Strips.

Coffee Cup Rings Turned Dreamcatcher

So, this one is a little out there, even for me. I started by overlapping a single Coffee Cup Ring four times. Though I had intended to create a flower, it looked more like a dreamcatcher, so I went with it.

Heat emboss four overlapping coffee rings with Blue Moon embossing powder from the WOW! Seth Apter Cosmic Trio. Then, you know, add some Zentangle® for good measure with a Sakura Micron 08 pen. Lol, see the video for details.

Next, paint three tassels with Daniel Smith Indigo watercolor by dripping it down the page. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle on Etched Platinum embossing powder from the Seth Apter Metalz Trio and melt with Dual Speed Heat Tool.

Watercolor the background with Daniel Smith Perylene Green and allow to air dry. Finally, embellish with confetti and a CZ Design HAPPY Reverse Sentiment Strip.
