WOW! Mixed Media Brush Embossing

Heat emboss large areas of your digital stamps quickly with the new WOW! Mixed Media Embossing Brush. This tool is great for neat and tidy and abstract looks.

Coffee & Love Stamp Set combines two of my all-time favorite things, coffee, and flowers. Add WOW! Embossing Powder and it’s a match made in heaven! Coffee Lovers Digital Paper Pack created a quick and easy background.

After Copic coloring, I used the Mixed Media Embossing Brush to heat emboss the leaves and to-go cup top with WOW! Clear Matt Dull embossing powder.

This gave the leaves a waxy feel and made the lid feel like plastic. The matt finish was more in-line with the muted color palette than a gloss finish.

WOW! Embossing Pen “Coloring”

I must have been hungry when I was choosing my stamps because so many of them are food-related. The Sweetness Stamp is simply amazing with its sketchy style.

Graciellie’s Rustic Wood Digital Paper Pack is a new favorite! I’ve used it as a background for the last three cards. Look at the detail. So pretty!

This time I “colored” the areas to be embossed with the WOW! Embossing Pen. I was absolutely stunned with how well these glitter embossing powders stuck to the pen ink.

I kept the embossed parts of the ice cream cone sketchy like the illustration and colored the heart solid.

Hand-Drawn Heat Embossing

The Fresh Start Stamp Set is so cheerful and encouraging. This time I printed the sentiment at the bottom of my cardstock and trimmed it to create a sentiment strip.

After coloring the cup and flowers I added two hand-drawn stripes with the WOW! Embossing Pen. In retrospect, I should have curved the Copic shading on the cup as well.

The hand-drawn stripes are embossed with WOW! Cosmic Trio inspired by Seth Apter. This powder is a gorgeous mix of teal and platinum metallic powders.

Knock off any stray powder from the leaves with a dry paintbrush before embossing. After embossing I reinforced the leaf outline with a black fineliner.

Embossing the Digital Sentiment

Cardmakers often emboss sentiments, but how do you emboss a digital sentiment? Trace it with the WOW! Embossing Pen of course!

This iris image from the Family Love Stamp Set is stunning and comes with tons of dainty sentiments. The WOW! Embossing pen has a firm nib making tracing sentiments a breeze. I embossed this sentiment with WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder.

Copic coloring this iris was the most fun! I had recently colored several purple flowers so I Googled other varieties of iris and came up with this. I adore the purple pattern on some of the petals.

The petal on the far right looks like a big juicy caterpillar to me. Be sure to watch the videos for details on how I colored this if you’re interested.
