Super Easy Bokeh Backgrounds
Today, we’re making simple Nuvo bokeh backgrounds that have a graphic yet dreamy appearance. I’m on a background kick recently and can’t seem to stop creating them. Do you go through crafty trends too?
The details to create these lovelies are in the video as well as tips to soften up your Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.
White Cardstock
I’ve used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80 lb for a smooth super bright white surface. I felt smooth paper would enhance the shimmer of the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb was used for the word dies, sentiment strips, and card bases. I prefer 110 lb for any die cuts that I’m going to stack because I don’t need to cut as many!
Today is the last day of the white cardstock sale over at CutCardStock.com, so take advantage and replenish your stash!
Super Easy Bokeh Backgrounds
My Nuvo Embellishment Mousse does not get as much love as it should because they’re stored in a drawer. It’s a shame because they’re so pretty! That being said, one of them need a spritz of water since it was a bit dry.
I’ve used Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Aquamarine, Pacific Teal, and Chai Latte. Such a yummy color palette!!
Nuvo Blending Sponges were used to create large bokeh circles by twisting them with a circular motion. Chai Latte mousse was smoothed over Altenew Feeling Dotty Stencil to create the small dots.
Sentiments
Altenew Simply Hello Die and Simply Friend Die were used to cut the large sentiments. The sub-sentiments are from Altenew Vintage Roses Add-On Stamp Set.
Coordinating Cardstock
If you’re not into white sentiments you can jazz things up with shimmer cardstock. You can see I tested out a couple of colors before deciding on white.
Though I chose white, I was amazed at how perfectly Stardream Metallic Coral and Curious Metallic Peacock matched Chai Latte and Pacific Teal Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.
